Role:                 Quality Assurance Specialist

Role Location:  Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Primary Function:

Implement and sustain the quality systems necessary to provide a suitable vehicle for verifying the effectiveness and consistency of existing systems and for encouraging continuous improvement efforts. The functions monitored will include process, systems and supplier oversight programs.


This is accomplished through proactive maintenance; adherence to established procedures and good practices, development of the ability to anticipate problems in advance and / or respond to problems quickly, the adoption of a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring a consistent approach that aligns with the company and projects(s) philosophies and strategies.

Key Accountabilities and Duties:

The quality assurance specialist is a member of the quality management team, the quality assurance specialist roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

To perform this role successfully, the individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure QA compliance for all activities and for other functions for the Company;
  • Fully implement the approved QA program;
  • Perform oversight of the companies execution;
  • Provide input into the continuous improvement process;
  • Assure consistency of purchased components by vendor certification, establishment of effective acceptance criteria, and product monitoring;
  • Consistently interpret and apply corporate policies;
  • Perform oversight of third parties in performance of all activities while implementing their own QA program;
  • QA records review for conformance to standards and preparation for turnover to the client;
  • And makes decisions and recommendations within authorized limits.


Essential Criteria & Qualifications / Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, and Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or related field or equivalent experience;
  • Extensive experience is nuclear codes and standards;
  • Experience with ASME Section III, Division 1 requirements;
  • Certification(s) in Quality Engineer (CQE) is not mandatory but considered desirable;
  • Experience in supplier oversight programs;
  • Experience working in a nuclear outage environment;
  • Flexible – shows flexibility and adaptability to work assignments (nonstandard work schedule may be required);
  • Robust communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to accuracy and details;
  • Appreciates the localisation, diversity of the workforce;
  • Able to manage and prioritize day to day workload to ensure maximum efficiencies are gained;
  • Promotes a positive and professional work environment with drive and enthusiasm;
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage and monitor multiple priorities and time lines;
  • And strong personal computer skills with working knowledge of SharePoint, MS Word, Excel and Access etc.
