Mechanical Technician

Overview

Must-Have work experience in complete Paper machine parts including all types of rolls & stock preparation Equipments,
handling and overhauling of equipments. Like pulper’s, Machine screens, Refiners, Cleaner, Various types of pumps, disk filters, Cranes,  and winders.

Able to Identify and understand the paper machine areas and parts in detail

Able to operate Overhead cranes with an understanding proper lifting equipment.

Able to install and repairing plant machinery and parts. (i.e.., Paper machine rolls , bearings, etc.,)

Able to Identify and solving simple technical issues within equipment.

Able to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Able to Read and interpreting mechanical drawings.

Able to Carry out fault finding and diagnostic checks on all mechanical equipment.

Gear box maintenance and Gear box assembly.

Able to do Pump assembly and pump maintenance including Bearing change, Seals change , impeller Change etc.,

Able to understand Pump and Gear box motor level alignment

Attend showdown jobs.

Performing miscellaneous maintenance duties as required.

Specific Skills

Communicating with supervisors, co-workers and subordinates by telephone, e-mail, or in person.

Preparing daily simple work report & able to conduct Toolbox talk.
Responsible For

Ensuring that any repairs are addressed promptly.

Assisting in the training and development of less experienced technicians.

Providing shift relief and cover when if required.

Completing accurate handovers to the next shift.
